BAFTA Rocliffe New Writing Showcase: TV Drama
An online showcase of three TV Drama script extracts by emerging UK writing talent, performed by a cast, with feedback from industry guests, actor Maxine Peake (Black Mirror, Three Girls, Silk), Daisy Mount, Development Executive for Scripted Originals, UK, at Amazon Studios and director Christiana Ebohon-Green (Call the Midwife, Grantchester, Vera).

Decca wants the impossible: the unearned privilege of her classmates. But when you can’t get what you want, you sometimes find what you need.

The young lives at Hyson Green’s all-female Youth Detention Centre are explored through the lens of falsely imprisoned teenage inmate Miya, and new, onsite psychiatrist Lawrence Anderson.

A sullen girl is forced to spend her summer at her estranged grandmother’s farm, in a village reeling from the disappearance of two local boys.

The scripts have been selected by an industry jury: https://www.bafta.org/sites/default/files/uploads/baftarocliffetvdramapaneljury21v8_0.pdf
